Nadalin, Joseph Evaristo “Joe” – Passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health Hospital in Sarnia on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the age of 68. Loving partner and best friend of Enid Pullan of Sarnia and treasured father-figure to Becky, Simon, and granddaughter, Claire. Joe is predeceased by his cherished parents Maria Nadalin (2019) and Evaristo Nadalin (2006) and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his loving aunts and uncles: Clotilde Ricci of Italy, Josephine Nadalin of Woodstock, Ines Dalla Pozza of Woodstock, Aurora Moro of Brampton, Paolina Sardini of Kitchener, Eleonora Abenia of France, Beniamina Pasut of Italy and Giuliano Nadalin of Italy. Joe will be profoundly missed by his numerous cousins residing in Canada and Italy.
He was a devoted son and held tightly to his Italian roots. Growing up in Beachville’s close-knit Italian community was essential in maintaining Joe’s culture and heritage. In his adult years, Joe would return regularly to visit family and enjoy many festive events held at the Colombo Club. He loved sports, particularly football, playing fullback for the C.A.S.S. football team in Woodstock throughout high school. Joe graduated from Western University and spent the next 30 years teaching, mainly at St. Clair High School in Sarnia. He taught English and Geography and also held the role of teacher-librarian. Joe was a dedicated track and field coach for several years and will be remembered and missed by many of his students. Upon meeting Enid while teaching at Central High School, Joe found in her that special someone who shared his love of history, travel, food and wine. Together they would enjoy memorable vacations throughout Europe, visiting family and touring the historical sites about which Joe loved to read. He retired in 2009, and his life revolved around sharing family time with Enid, Becky and Claire. Joe had a robust love of life, a warm heart, and a great sense of humour. He will be dearly missed.
