It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Lange, our husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. Joe passed away peacefully in the Regina General Hospital on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the age of 84 years.
Joe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marion (Preikchat) Lange; son Randy Lange; daughter Leanne Lange; grandchildren Taryn, Nathan, Teyagra, Joelanda (Jeremy), and Waylon; great-grandchildren Sebastian, Aleaha, Ayden, Jaxx, Jericho, and Bentley; his sisters Alvena (Doug) Mitchell, Rose (Eugene) Zerr, Maxine (Clinton) Hendry, and Marlene Goldsmith; in-laws Ron and Diane Preikchat, Lorraine and Randy Brandt; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Herman Lange and Eva (Lange) Penrod; parents-in-law Rose and Bill Preikchat; his brothers and sisters Irvine Lange, John Lange, Mary McNab, Irene (Weigetz) Cleverly, Gladys Irvine, and Verna Hodel; in-laws Charlie McNab, Jim Cleverly, Norman Hodel, Don Goldsmith, and Myrna Lange.
Joe was born on October 24, 1937 at Punnichy, SK and lived in Regina, SK where he attended Wetmore School and Balfour Collegiate. Joe worked as a plumber at a few different shops in Regina for almost 40 years and ended his plumbing career at the Pasqua Hospital Maintenance Dept. in 2002. His most enjoyable job was working for Regina Exhibition Association Ltd (REAL), it was perfect for him because he loved talking to people and worked with co-workers who became great friends. He retired in March 2022, just short of 55 years of service at REAL.
A Memorial Gathering for Joe will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at REAL – Queensbury Convention Centre, Ballroom “A”, 1700 Elphinstone Street, Regina, SK, at 1:30 p.m.
