Rogers, Josephine Ann (Jo`Ann)
On Monday, December 26th Josephine Ann (Jo’Ann) Rogers at the age of 75, passed away peacefully in Kingston, Ontario. Just like sleeping beauty, she had her prince and husband of fifty-six years, Brian Colin Massey Rogers loyally by her side. Though her body was frail and tired, her spirit was full of grateful appreciation for life and her positive outlook and sense of humor remained. Jo’Ann had a long battle with her health and was very appreciative towards the many health care professionals at the Kingston General Hospital that assisted her. Many of her proudest moments were spent with her family. Jo’Ann was very proud of her three sons and was appreciative of the friendships she cherished with their wives. She loved all her grandchildren and regularly organized “Nanna and Poppa Camp” for them during summer vacations when she wasn’t sailing on Lake Ontario. Jo’Ann was an avid equestrian in her youth and spoke often of her riding days and her pony, Little Joe. She loved animals and often had a grand-dog or two on her lap, surrounded by her Montreal Canadians blanket and pillows. Jo’Ann was a dedicated Christian and was a youth leader at the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Carleton Place. She was also involved in the community as a Beaver and Cub Scout Leader.
Jo’Ann is survived by her faithful love and best friend, Brian, her three loving sons Scott (Deanne), Shaugn (Kristin), Steven (Julie); her grandchildren Taylor (Laura), Jocelyn (Chris) Timpson, Jayde (Brad) Campbell, Faithe Campbell, William, Thomas, Colby and Leah and her great grandchildren Samuel, Eloise, Madeline and James. Jo’Ann is predeceased by her parents Romeo and Ellen Neron and survived by her brothers Jack (Wendy) Neron, Ralph (Kelly) Neron, her brother in-laws Chris (Norah) Rogers, Duncan (Jennifer) Rogers, Craig (Jean) Rogers and many nieces and nephews.
We will forever adore and remember you and we will feel safer knowing you are now watching over us.
A private family service will be held at Barker’s Funeral Home in Carleton Place.
