Joan Frampton Card of Thanks 1933 2022

Obituary of Joan Frampton (Card of Thanks)
Joan (White) Frampton
May 31, 1933 – August 26, 2022
The family of Joan Frampton would like to thank everyone who showed us so much kindness during such a difficult time.
The many gifts of food, donations, flowers, cards, condolence messages, visits, and phone calls were greatly appreciated.
Talking with everyone who visited the funeral home about memories of mom was very comforting. Also comforting to the family was the great send off mom received from: all the people who attended the funeral service in person or online, the Anglican Church Women’s Honour Guard, the wonderful singers and guitar players of “Uncommon Praise”, and Reverend Mickton Phiri. We cannot thank you all enough.
Thank you as well to Fillatre’s Funeral Home who made things easier by their professionalism and compassion.
Although it’s hard to see a loved one go so quickly, we are consoled by the fact that mom wasn’t severely ill for too long. She is now with her family members who went before her, and we know she is now resting in peace.
Beyond the rain, there’ll be no more dying,
No more crying, no more pain.
When we put our lives in the hands of Jesus,
He will lead us beyond the rain.
It is with great sadness we announce that Joan Frampton passed away at the Western Health Palliative Care Unit in the early morning of August 26, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Leaving to mourn are her four daughters, Debra Gill (Melvin), Sandra Myles (David), Julie Park (Max), and Marie Blackwood (Jerry). Also leaving behind to miss their dear Nan Frampton are her grandchildren: Shawn Johnson, Kelly Combdon (Stephen), Megan Coles (Ryan), Bradley Myles (Clinton), Aaron Park (Katie), Nicholas Park (Megan), Jeffrey Park (Hannah), Ryan Park (Lydia), and Brianna Kean (Christian). Left to remember their Nan Nan/Great Nan are her precious great-grandchildren Cohen and Emma Combdon, Nathan and Dylan Coles, George Park, and Theodore Park (Baby Teddy) who she just recently met. She loved them so much as she did other special family members and their children: Tiffany Gill-Bennett (Nick), Trevor Gill (Kiah), Evan Gill (Veronica), Chris Blackwood (Darcy) and Lucas Blackwood. Her brother Robert will also miss her dearly, as well as her brothers-in-law George Jennings, Joe Frampton (Betty), and Garland Powell and sisters-in-law Theresa White, Vera Frampton, Barbara Frampton, and her many nieces and nephews. She’s also leaving behind so many very special friends.
Joan was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Vincent Frampton (2008), her father and mother, Herbert and Joyce White, her son-in-law Harold Johnson, brothers Hollie, Garland, and Byron, and her sisters Neatha and Monica.
Mom lived independently until July of this year when she moved to Mountain View Estates. She would have loved to socialize with the residents there if she had been feeling well during her stay. The family is thankful to the staff of Mountain View for the care they gave her in the short time she was there. We are also thankful to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Western Memorial’s Palliative Care Unit who showed such compassion to Mom and to us in such a beautiful and peaceful setting. Thank you as well to her family doctor, Dr. Robert Young, for many years of care.
Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Mark’s Avenue on Sunday, August 28th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 3 PM at St. Michael’s Church on Park Drive, officiated by Reverend Mickton. Burial will take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church Memorial Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Joan
