Obituary of Joan Bernice Myers
Joan B. Myers, 86 of Kentville, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2022 in the Valley Regional Hospital in the loving company of her family. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Catherine (Burnham) Forsythe.
Joan was very well known as a number one bowler and joker. She absolutely loved to laugh and had an optimistic outlook on life. Joan adored children and animals.
She will be missed dearly and forever remembered by her family and friends.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Darlene Myers-Savard of Ottawa; her granddaughter, Leeanne and grandsons, Trevor, Shawn, Matthew, Alex, Aaryn, Nathaniel, and Quinn; great-granddaughters Emmalee, Kiera, and Alicia; sister, Hazel Gibson (Hazel is 98 and lives in Halifax.).
Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband, John F. Myers; beloved sons, Stephen Myers, Mark Myers; and sister, Ruth Boudreau.
In keeping with Joan’s wishes, there will be no service. Interment will take place at a later date in the Willowbank Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to your local SPCA (Kings SPCA preferred). Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
