Obituary
CHETWYND, Joan Marilyn – 87, of Baccaro, passed away at Roseway Manor, Shelburne, on November 25, 2022. Born November 1, 1933, she was the daughter of Madeline Foster (Smith), wife of Calvin Foster; Joan was brought up by grandparents, Thomas and Myra (Crowell) Smith. She is survived by children, Kathy Perry, Myra (Mitchell) Perry, Randy (Remona) Chetwynd; grandchildren, Connie, Rob (Cynthia), Shelley, Tracey (David), Nicole, Coral (Justin), Troy, Danielle (Cory), Jessica (Soloman); great-grandchildren, Kelsie, Hannah, Katelynn, Alicia, Priscilla, Keaton, Jersey, Kinslee, Hudson; brothers, Allister, Wendell (Judy), Dave, Laurie, Michael (Izetta); Paul (Karen); and several great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers. She was predeceased by her husband, Stillman Chetwynd; daughter, Gail Lamrock; son-in-law, Howard Lamrock; brothers, Tommy Foster, Robert Foster; and sister Margaret Brannen. Joan worked at Dixie Lee for 16 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crossword and table puzzles. She chased ballgames, card parties, and even had a special chair at the curling rink. She loved going to the exhibitions and watching the ox pulls. Always such a social person, Joan always had time to stop and talk. She was a member of UCW, Red Cross, and the Greenhill Seniors Club. There will be a visitation held on Monday from 6-8 pm at the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, where the funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 29, at 3 pm with Rev. Brenda McCurdy officiating. Interment to follow in the Woodside Cemetery, Port La Tour. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund.
