Obituary of Joan Barnes
Barnes, Marge Rae “Joan” – Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the Georgetown Hospital and was reunited with her beloved husband Fred. Joan, in her 84th year, loving mother to Glen (Michelle), Rick (Sarah) and Ken (Ilse). Cherished grandmother of Harley, Cooper, and Bronson. Dear sister of Aileen (the late Myron), Doreen (Harvey) and the late Marie. Joan will be dearly remembered by her brother-in-law Bill. Joan was well known and respected in the community as the proud owner of Ashgrove Welding for 68 years with her husband Fred, as well as a talented seamstress. She will be missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery.
