Joan Luff Adamson of Port Lambton went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the age of 95. Joan is the daughter of the late Jack & Ida (Robinson) Moody. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jack Adamson in April of 2022. Dear friend of Peter and Margaret Johnston and family. Sister of the late Eric and George. She will be remembered fondly by her friends and extended family. After emigrating from Chester-le-Street, Durham, England, Joan was a librarian in Port Lambton and worked at CIBC in Sombra and Sarnia. She was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18 and very involved with the Brownies and the Girl Guides of Canada. A member of St. James the Apostle Anglican Church in Port Lambton, Joan volunteered with the Anglican Church Women’s Guild, serving lunches and singing in nursing homes. Family and friends are invited to Joan’s graveside entombment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Lambton on Wednesday, September 7 at 1 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home 519.627.3231.
