Jimmy Roger Hurst – age 74 of Knoxville passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Jimmy was a member of Strawberry Plains United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Marine veteran having served in Vietnam. Jimmy retired from CMC (formerly Ameri Steel) after approximately 35 years of service.
Preceded in death by parents, Kenneth and Clersa Hurst; brother, Ricky Hurst; and sister, Carolyn Smith.
Survived by wife, Janice Hurst; daughter, Janay (Dennis) Wright; grandchildren, Darryn Wright and Jaylyn Wright; and sisters, Sharon Holbert, and Angie Wiggs.
The family will receive friends 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Bridges Funeral Home. Family and friends will then meet 12:15 PM on Saturday at Eastview Memorial Gardens for a 12:30 PM graveside service with Pastor Robert Hobbs officiating.
