Bisson, James Scott
Passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton on Tuesday, November 15th 2022, surrounded by his family. Jim Bisson, beloved husband of Dianne Bisson (nee Guthrie). Loving father of Darryl Bisson (Sara Jocelyn), Brian (Emma Campbell) and step-father of Carolyn Hyslop (Myke Healy), Greg (Ange) Hyslop. Dear brother of the late Michelle Mathewson, Stuart Bisson. Much loved grandfather of Aiya, Sophie, Aidan, Jack, Noah, Tessa, Carter and Kate. Jim will be fondly remember by his nieces and nephews, his loving cousins in Thunder Bay and Victoria BC and lifelong friend, Brenda and Paul Wilson.
Jim began his OPP career in 1969 stationed out of Parry Sound, later transferring to Cayuga and then to Brantford, where he was a Sergeant for many years before retiring out of Brantford in 1998. After retiring, he enjoyed his work as a tour coach driver for Ayr Coach Lines traveling around Canada. Jim enjoyed many leisure activities including golf, fishing. boating, relaxing, and enjoying the company of his many friends and family. Jim was a loving grandfather who always had time whether it be a hockey game, or a school event and he was always there cheering them on. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him especially those who spent many fun times together as part of the Crazy 10. Jim’s gift for story telling was second to none and many will be sharing his jokes and stories for years to come.
Family and friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place.
