Obituary of Jill Elizabeth Slack
Slack: Jill Elizabeth
1935-2022
Jill Elizabeth Slack (Jeffries) went to her eternal home with Jesus on July 11th, 2022 at Carveth Care Centre in Gananoque with family by her side. She was born in Timmons, Ontario on January 14, 1935. Jill is reunited with her loving husband Blaine, who predeceased her in 2014. Loving and cherished mom of Jackie (Gary), Joyce (Earle), Janet (Dwight), and Bryan (Debbie). Adored Nannie of Christina, Holly (Dave), Matt (Alysha), and Luc (Michele). She was affectionately known as “Gai Nannie” by her nine great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Mom was predeceased by her parents, brother Lou and sister Joan. She is survived by her two brothers Roger and Val. She will be fondly remembered by her sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Mom loved life and loved people, she always put others first. Mom volunteered at the Salvation Army, the Food Bank, her home church, and many years at Carveth Care Centre. Our family would like to express our appreciation to the caring nurses and PSWs at Carveth, who showed such genuine concern and compassion to our mom especially in the last five days. No words can express how very grateful we are to each one of you. If you feel led to give a donation in memory of mom, please choose a charity of your choice. We were blessed to have such a wonderful mom who loved us unconditionally. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home on Wednesday July 20 from 10 am until time of service in our chapel at 11 am. Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Jill
