Jewell Dean Cody Lanier – age 70 of Knoxville passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, after battling cancer for 27 years. Jewell was a member of Glen Oak Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by parents, George and Stella Cody; brothers, Don Cody, Dewey Cody, Jerry Cody; sisters, Ruth Fowler, Mary Everett, and Shirley Cody; and son, Randy Lanier.
Survived by husband of 50 years, Howard Lanier; brother, George (Betty) Cody; sister, Linda (Clarence) Cloninger; sister-in-law, Vera (Troy) Phillips; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at Tennessee Cancer Specialist and Dr. Ross Kerns.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Bridges Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet 11:45 AM on Saturday at Roseberry Cemetery for a 12:00 PM a graveside service with Rev. Charlie Reynolds officiating.
