Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our husband, dad, pop, brother, uncle, cousin and friend Jerry O’Connell at Western Long Term Care (Palliative) on Saturday, January 29th 2022 at the age of 75 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Shirley O’Connell (Compagnion) of 44 years. Children; Kim (Gerry) Phillips, Jamie (Chrissie) O’Connell, Lisa O’Connell and Monica Scribner. Special Niece Stephanie (Ryan) Gallant. Grandchildren; Nicholas, Carter, Tyrell, Patricia, Stephen, Foster and Emily. Great-grandchildren; Carson and Abigail. Siblings; Bernetta Critch, Maxine Wayson, Anita (Danny) Lewis, Martin O’Connell and Caroline (Gus) Jones. Brothers-in-law; Guy Compagnion, Wayne (Kathleen) Compagnion, Derrick Compagnion and Kerry (Trina) Compagnion. Sisters-in-law; Coreen MacInnis, Judy (George) Clarke, Joyce Compagnion and Sandra O’Connell as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jerry was predeceased by his parents John and Kathleen O’Connell. Brothers; William, Phonse (Rita) O’Connell, Loren O’Connell and Mike (Mame) O’Connell; Sister Catherine; Father and Mother-in-law Ralph and Sadie Compagnion. Brothers-in-law; Jim Wayson, Ken Compagnion and Gerry MacInnis. Per Jerry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 2nd 2022 at 1:00 pm with funeral service to take place at 2:00 pm with father Roberson officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request, donations can be made to Palliative Care Cuddle Bed Fund.
