Jeremy Dueck Saturday February 19th 2022

In loving memory of Jeremy Dueck, son of Arnold and Vera
April 15, 1968 to February 19, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jeremy Dueck on February 19, 2022 due to severe coronary artery disease.
He is survived by his parents Arnold & Vera Dueck, his younger brother Michael and his wife Barbara, two nieces – Michelle and Ben VanSteenbergen and their children Poppy and Welles; Jordan and Dustin Jones and their children Leo and Sonny; three nephews, Jesse, Austin, and Sam; many uncles and aunts and cousins.
He accepted Jesus into his life as a young child and was formally dedicated in 1971, together with his brother. He rededicated his life to Christ in later years. When he was younger he would sing “Yep, Jesus Loves Me’.
Jeremy experienced ups and downs and had struggles in his life. He moved in with his parents several years ago to overcome some of these hardships. Through it all with God’s help he was able to have a good outlook.
He enjoyed being employed by John Henry Creations for several years. He also helped Warren and Mary Kroeker with odd jobs. He was a jack of all trades and helped us out many times with painting, installing ceiling fans, built a lamp table, cooking, etc.
He was very supportive of our Keenager choir involvement by attending many programs – even sitting up front when mom was involved with the piano duet prelude.
He especially enjoyed visiting his Kansas cousins and uncles and aunts because they had so many fun ‘toys’ – dirt bikes, go carts, three wheelers, etc.
He also enjoyed a trip to Branson and was able to attend the Sight & Sound theater production of Jonah. Included in that trip were more visits with Kansas and Nebraska relatives.
He was very competitive with the many miniature golf games we played.
He spent a lot of time outdoors on his bike. And when not riding his bike or hiking, he drew on his erasable board, usually trucks or something with wheels.
He remembered special occasions by cutting out styrofoam ‘cards’ including glitter. Quite creative! He also enjoyed playing piano, especially hymns with his own ‘fast’ interpretation.
Family outings were important to him, including birthday celebrations and also an annual week-end at a cabin.
We thank God for the son he gave us for almost 54 years. He left us too soon. We’ll miss him so much.
A service and celebration of Jeremy’s life will be held on Saturday, March 19 at 11:00am (masks are optional)
