ELLIS, Jennifer – It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jen at the Belleville General Hospital while surrounded by the love from her whole family and the loving embrace of her faithful husband and best friend Mike who never left her side on Sunday, May 22nd, 2022, in her 46th year. Beloved wife of 23 years to Mike Ellis. Loving daughter of Helen Thompson and the late Jim Thompson. Will be sadly missed by her in-laws Herb and Judy Ellis. Survived by her siblings Rodney Thompson, Valerie Sills (Ron). All though Jen and Mike never had children of their own, Jen was the “Best Ever Aunt” to Jacob Thompson (Cassandra), Dianne Sills (Brad), Josh Thompson (Kaitlin), Robyn Sills (Mike), and Emily Thompson (Jake) who Jen loved very much like her own.
Jen truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like camping, hunting, fishing, travelling, or just enjoying a cold beer with friends and family on the porch of the hunting camp and spending time walking with her dog Fonzie. Jen enjoyed her career with CIBC in Tweed where she was not only the branch manager, she was a friend to many clients and co-workers during her time there.
Jen was diagnosed with a rare disease called Eosinophilic Fasciitis in December, that she courageously fought until complications of the disease and pneumonia took her from us. As per the families wishes, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Jen’s Life will be held at a later date. (Date and time to be confirmed)
