Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jennifer Ann Shand on July 10, 2022 at the SJRH. She was the daughter of Ann Plume, granddaughter of Helen Burns of Saint John and she graduated from St Malachy’s and attended NBCC – SJ – Marketing. She raised our children, was a EA in Middle school, ran a daycare, and then worked at Cooperators where she excelled in many areas and quickly gained her CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional).
Jennifer loved to have fun and worked hard at everything, whether her job, travelling or teaching children in church, she gave it her all. Everyone called her “Momma Shand” and she cared like no other.
She is survived by her mother Ann, her husband Laurie, stepdaughter Christina, son Evan (and wife Abby) and daughter Emma as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins.
We would like to thank Dr Aaron Robichaud and Dr Chris O’Brien – the superstars of SJR Hospital as well as the staff who cared for her and had compassion and friendliness during these hard times.
The Funeral Service will be held at Fundamental Baptist Church, 1170 Sand Cove Rd., Saint John on Saturday July 16, 2022 at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SJRH Palliative Care Unit or the SPCA Animal Rescue.
