Jennie Chick Leyte Thursday July 14th 2022

Several months ago, Jennie received a diagnosis that no-one wants. Terminal lung cancer that had travelled to her spine. Being the warrior she was, she came up with three wishes – To be at home – To be without the extreme pain associated with late-stage spinal cancer – And to not be on Morphine. In typical fashion, Chick did it on her own terms and on July 14, 2022, she received her wishes.
Jennie is predeceased by her loving grandmother and namesake, Jennie Best; father, Les Luther; and younger brother Reg Luther. She is survived by her Husband Ray , son Justin (Ryoko) and two wonderful grandchildren, Reef and River; Mother Eleanor Luther , brothers Rob (Valerie), and Ross (Connie); sisters Elaine (Glenn), Linda, Stephanie (Lou), and Leah (Adam) and a large circle of relatives and friends.
In keeping with Jennie’s wishes cremation has taken place and details for visitation and funeral service will be released at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jennie’s memory may be made to Dr. H.Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre in the James Paton Memorial Health Centre , Gander.
