Passed away peacefully with her youngest daughter (her baby) by her side on August 17, 2022, at the age of 80.
Cookie is survived by her loving husband Gary, who took care of her with tremendous care, love, and support. Loving Mother of Carrie (Bruce) of Winnipeg, Patricia of Winnipeg, Gary Jr. (Rosa) of Port Frank’s and Suzanne (Stephen) of Sault Ste. Marie. Wonderful Nanna to Brad (Marla) of Vancouver, the late Shawn of Calgary, Jordan (Stefanie) of Sault Ste. Marie, Gary Jr of London, Ashley of Vancouver, Justin (Danika) of Sault Ste. Marie, Tavis (Sharisse) of Sault Ste. Marie, and Kianna and Mikayla both of Winnipeg. Great Nanna to Noah, Nava, Aiden, Amira, Jonah, and Parker.
Daughter of the late Henri and Delphine Quesnelle. Cookie was the last remaining Quesnelleand was predeceased by her brothers; Henri Jr. (Lorraine), Conrad, Rudy, Joseph, Noel (Dianna), Gerald. Sister to the late Edith Piramalli (Frank) and June Deresti (Paul). Sister in law to Mary Ann Murphy (Calvin) and Darlene and the late Wayne Reid.
Best of Friend to Cathy Hall, whom Mom held the upmost love and respect for. Anyone who knew Mom loved her humour and ability to be the life of the party. Mom, we know you have them up at the pearly gates asking, “don’t I know you from somewhere?”
Forever in our thoughts and hearts.
There will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada or the Alzheimer Society (payable online or by cheque).
