It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the age of 81 years. Dear daughter of the late William and the late Liliane (née Lavallée) Carrey. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Gascon. Loving mother of Louise Gosselin (Normand), Denis (Francine) and Marc (Monique). Dear sister of Normand Gagnon, Diane Pharand (Phil), Gilles Gagnon (Diane), Pauline Morin (Gaëtan), Michel Gagnon (Jocelyn), Lina Danis (Michel), Nicole Frescura (André), René Gagnon (Tracy) and sister-in-law of Sylvain Martel. Predeceased by her sister Reine-Mae Desbiens (Wally). Cherished grandmother of Alain (Mélanie), Julie (Ciser), François (Jessica), Mireille, Chanelle (Omar), Jasmine (Jonathan), Ariane and Julien (Emalie). Great-grandmother to Sebastien, Astérix, Nadia and Chloé. Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and furry companion Sparky. Jeannine enjoyed reading, quilting, sewing, playing crib, ice fishing, and enjoying time at camp. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Northeastern Cancer Centre and the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, ON, on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A private family funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home Chapel on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. and will be available via LIVESTREAM / EN DIRECT .
