Obituary of Jean Muir
Muir, Jean Lois Vivian (nee Boyle) 98, peacefully passed away April 22, 2022, at Sunrise of Thornhill Retirement Home in Thornhill Ontario . She was born on August 27th, 1923, in Saint John, New Brunswick, a place she visited often once she left the Maritimes for Ontario in the summer of 1972.
Jean was the beloved wife of the late John Muir of Exeter Ontario, and a devoted mother to their two boys David (Brenda) of Keswick, Ontario and the late Robert of Toronto, Ontario. Jean truly cherished her two grandchildren (twins) Sean Muir (Claudia) and Candra (Philip Frazer), who in turn gave her five great grandchildren, Lilliana, Henry, Oliver, Isabella and Mateo. Jean will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Our family would like to say thank you to the staff at Sunrise of Thornhill for the compassionate care given to our mom.
To honor her wishes, she is going home to a place she loved so, so much Saint John . Visitation will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home (634-7424), 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, on Thursday, May 5th, 2022, from 11am until the time of the Memorial Service at 1pm. The interment will take place at Cedar Hill Greenwood Cemetery, Saint John, N.B. In memory of Jean, donations made to Alzheimer Society of Canada , would be greatly appreciated.
