Jean Maureen Hanson, 81 died 12th September 2022 at the Tony Stacy Centre for Veteran’s Care, Long Term Care Facility in Scarborough after battling several health issues.
Mrs. Hanson was born on January 9th, 1941 in Parlatuvier Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago to Edith Glasgow and Henry Frank. She moved to the United kingdom in the late 1960s to study nursing. She went on to gain an R.N. In Nursing from the University of Swansea, Wales. She would gain honors at her university and would go on to practice nursing for their rest of her working life, specializing in psychiatric nursing. She had one child, a son, however, many more would call her mother. Mrs. Hanson moved to Canada in 1982 where she remained. She was a devoted member of her church and cherished her walk with God for their rest of her days.
Mrs. Hanson is survived by her son, her brother and two grandchildren.
Family and friends are welcomed to come and pay their respects at Covenant Funeral Homes (Balmoral Chapel) on Wednesday September 21st, 2022 from 12 noon until service time at 1:00pm. A private funeral service will be held in the Chapel followed by interment at the Resthaven Memorial Garden 2700 Kingston Rd, Scarborough.
