ARNETT, Jean Lucinda (nee Schenk)
November 23, 1950 – March 6, 2022
Peacefully passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at the age of 71 years. Beloved wife of Kenneth for over 46 years. Dear mother of Harold (Kate) and Melissa. Cherished grandma of the late Rory and Ruth, also Lisa, Edward, Brooklyn and to great grandson Dréson. Predeceased by her parents Weyburn and Freda Schenk and by many relatives.
Jean was a former cook at Parkwood Manor and Wilfrid Laurier University which she loved and where she made lifelong friends. After having children of her own, she became a lunchroom supervisor with Harold W. Wagner Public School. She was an avid community liaison for Bluevale Collegiate and enjoyed crocheting blankets for many new babies and adults alike. Jean volunteered her time with Silver Spoons and at First United Church.
The Arnett family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 3-5pm & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at First United Church, Waterloo at 11am. A Livestream of the funeral service will be available at www.erbgood.com Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, Breslau. A Celebration of Life will be held in the future. Thank you to the frontline workers of Waterloo Region for their care of Jean and her family.
