Obituary of Jean Aileen Farris
Jean Aileen Farris, 94 of Wolfville, passed away on February 4, 2022 in the Wolfville Nursing Home. Born in Port Williams, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Annie (Lockwood) Hovell of Church Street.
Jean loved family and life. Some of her favorite pass-times were playing bingo and singing songs. Jean also took time to take part in any activities that were held.
Jean will be lovingly remembered by her children, Barbara Haggerty; James “Jimmie” (Marie); David (Michelle); Richard (Cassandra); Tim (Kate); Jerry; and Edith (Jeff); grandchildren, Fred, Scott, Matthew, Jason, Jamie, Brydon, Nichole, Alicia, Justin, Jessica, and Jody; great grandchildren, Riley, Parker, Summer, Kegan, Xavier, Emma, Tyson, and Lily.
In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her loving husband, James; son, Wayne; granddaughter, Adrian; brothers, Charles and Albert; sister, Edith Coldwell; son-in-law, Bronson Haggerty (Barbara); and daughter-in-law, Joy Farris (Jerry).
Jean’s family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the staff and caregivers of the Wolfville Nursing Home for the care and kindness they have shown during mom’s stay with them.
A memorial service being held in the Gaspereau Cemetery on May 6, 2022 at 11:00 am. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Canada, Local Victorian Order of Nurses, or charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
