Simpson, Jean (nee Marini)
Peacefully on Sunday July 10 at home in her sleep Jean went to heaven to meet her mom and dad, Flora and Gabriel Marini and her brothers Angelo and Jim.
Left to mourn the immense loss is her husband of 63 years Paul, mother to Marina (Jim), Paul (Patti), Anthony (Suzana), Catharine (Joe), Matthew (Paula) and Vincent (Sarah), grandmother to Adrian, Korina, Rebecca, Alanna, Liam, Savannah, Ryan, Matthew, Taylor, Meaghan, Quinn, Michael, Luc, Hunter, Patrick, Jake, Hope, great-grandmother to Van.
Jean was a loving wife and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a loyal and true person to her extended family and friends. Family was everything to mom. She was very devoted to her faith and was dedicated to serving her church throughout her 56 years as a parishioner of Corpus Christi. In the last few years, she really enjoyed attending her meditation group which gave her peace and tranquility.
Jean was an avid gardener and would constantly be working around the yard planting, pulling weeds, and caring for all the flowers, plants, and vegetables. She loved company and drop-ins were most welcome. She loved seeing and talking to her cousins Carol, Audie, Donna and Tally and her luncheons with the McCutcheons and The Kowchs.
Our mom embodied her faith by always putting others first and being a pillar of our family. She has left a tremendous hole in our hearts that will be filled with many good memories.
In Lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to a charity of your choice.
