On Saturday June 25, 2022, Jean passed away peacefully in her 91st year in her hometown of Waterdown, Ontario. Jean is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband James Gerald (“Duke”). Jean will be missed and remembered by her family and friends that were in her life. Her five children, Brian (Linda), Donna (Bill), Janet (Tom), Carol (Doug), and Bob (Angie). Loving Grandma to Bill (Christine), Rick, Ron (Tamrie), Terry (Rob), Mike (Krista), Melissa (Danny), Jonathan (Christina), Ashley (Marcus), Brendan (Riah) and Jake (Sara) and great grandmother to Meagan, Mitchell, Hunter, Andrew, Brandon, Emma, JT, Mackayla, Hayden, Jaiyme, Carter, Jaiden, Luca, Milo and Townsley who will keep Jean forever in their hearts.
Jean leaves behind her sisters Lois McNeal and Bernice Buttenham, her brother Leroy Guenther and brother-in-law Don MacKay and Kenny & Peggy MacKay. Jean has been reunited with her late parents, Lorne & Viola Guenther, her brother Jake (Helen) and sister Ruth (Morley) and Gladys & Gerald as well as her late brothers and sisters in law Bobby, June, Isabel & John, Mary & Dave, Roger, Sheila and Stan.
A private family interment will take place at Waterdown Union Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Royal Botanical Gardens (because Jean loved flowers of all kinds) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
