Jean L. Sackett of Byron, NY, was born Jean Ethelind Lovejoy January 21, 1933, the youngest daughter of Charles and Mary (Richardson) Lovejoy of Victor, NY.
After graduating from Cornell University in 1953, she took a job with Proctor and Gamble doing door-to-door surveys around the country. Upon the death of her father, Jean returned to Victor and worked as a social worker for Ontario County.
In 1956 she married John L. Sackett, Jr., of Churchville, NY. Jean completed her MS in Education at SUNY Brockport and taught second grade in the Byron-Bergen School District until retirement.
She bore three children; Deborah (Jay Miller), John (Rose) -both deceased, and Charles (Amy). She is also survived by five living grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
There will be no prior calling hours and Services will be held at a later date.
