Jean Cassidy
1924-2022
With her son and grandson by her side, Jean Lorraine Cassidy of
Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at the Victoria Glen Manor
on February 7, 2022.
Jean was born in Perth, NB, on December 6, 1924. She was the daughter
of the late Herman and Mable (McLeod) Stewart. Jean leaves behind her
sons, Jon Cassidy of Toronto, ON, Robert Kling (Kari) of Scottsdale,
AZ; her grandchildren, Matthew Cassidy (Kelsey), Liam Cassidy,
Alexander Kling, and Nicholas Kling; her great granddaughter, Lydia
Cassidy; family friend, Sharon Nye; along with many nieces and
nephews.
Jean was predeceased by her parents; her husband, George Wesley
Cassidy; her sisters, Anita Stewart, Marion Shaw, Vera Dexter, and
Enid Kelly; her brothers, James and Russell Stewart.
After completing business school in Saint John, Jean had several
different careers during her life. Among them was working for
Imperial Oil, the Perth Post Office and as a receptionist in
Fredericton.
Jean was a member of the United Church of Canada and enjoyed playing
Bridge. Along with this, she enjoyed travelling and winters in
Florida.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of the
Victoria Glen Manor nursing home for their 14 years of loving care.
Respecting Jean’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral held.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Victoria Glen Manor
Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
