VanderBas, Jasper – Peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his family, Jasper VanderBas passed away in his 71st year on Thursday, May 26, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Marja (nee Van’Tklaphek) for 48 years. Father of Lenette (Ed) O’Donnell; Peter (Cynthia) Van der Bas; Edie (Ian) Tatham, and Sarah (Jake) VanderBas. Grandfather of Emma, Anna, Eric, Bexley, Courtney, Aaron, Gennevieve, Alex, and Ava. Brother of Corrie and Joop deHoog and Ria Van Soest. Jasper loved to take Farmers on tours through this world and saw Brazil, Argentina, Chilly, Africa, Cuba, and Holland. He was co-founder of the Dutch Theatre Group and enjoyed 25 years of performing. He was in many organizations, always trying to make it better. Together Jasper and Marja were foster parents and hog farmers for 48 years and long-time members of the Emmanuel Reformed Church. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday May 31, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 170 Clark St. N, Woodstock on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Reception to follow. Interment in the Innerkip Cemetery.
