Obituary
BOLDT, Jason
December 31, 1976 – November 17, 2022
It is with devastating hearts that we announce on November 17, 2022, at just 45 years old, Jason passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in love and acceptance.
Jason loved his family. He will be forever missed and loved by his high school sweetheart, and the rock who has been by his side for 22 years of marriage, in all the good times and the not so good times, Lori Boldt (nee Mulholland). Proud dad of his fist born and hardworking son, Michael, and his beautiful daughter Jessika aka “Chicken”. Jason was profoundly grateful in recent years to be able to see a grandson born into the Boldt family. He cherished the time he got to spend with his grandson, Kove. He leaves behind Kanook, his crazy sweet cuddle buddy, a husky who is now missing one of her favourite people. Jason was born Benjamin Jason Boldt on December 31, 1976, to surviving parents William “Bill” Boldt and Janice Boldt (nee Calhoun) of Leamington. Dear brother to Kristi Snary (Steve) of Ancaster. Loved son-in-law to Mike and Connie Mulholland of Es. Beloved brother-in-law to Leslie and Syl Gontarde of Ruthven. Greatest of uncles to Ashton, Griffin, Alyssa, Addyson, and Kody. Proudest Godfather to his nephew Kody Gontarde. Jason will be sorely missed and forever remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, coworkers, neighbours and friends. He enjoyed years of working as a Service Mechanical Technician for Provide Agro and N.M Bartlett. He worked alongside his brother-in-law, Syl, and met some wonderful people through the industry. Jason was an avid hunter, fisherman and all-around outdoors man all his life! His dad taught him all he knew about hunting and fishing from a young age and Jason later shared that love and knowledge with his wife, son, daughter, and lots of friends. He was a man who was always helping others. He was always doing something with someone! In recent years Jason helped his dad with a “retirement plan.” He and his dad learned all they could about making honey and maple syrup. Learning about the bees and tapping trees! His love for the outdoors was lifelong. He spent many days, weekends, and years on hunting trips with his wife, dad, son, cousins, and friends. He loved sharing his passion with others. All the hunting and fishing trips will be cherished by all who had the pleasure. The stories and friendships that were made along the way will never be forgotten. The next time you see some geese in the sky, ducks in the pond, or a deer in the field remember Jason, he would love it! His love for the outdoors was only matched by his love of family. The only person strong enough to walk side by side with Jason through his life was his wife, Lori. The two of them came together when they were just kids themselves. Life brought them together just a field apart. Together, they have built a family and endured, but their bond is solid like no other. If you could have handpicked two people to be most suited for each other, Lori and Jason would be it. There was never one without the other and that love will remain true until they meet again.
In honour of Jason’s memory, the family kindly asks you to dress casual or in “your best camo” for the visitation; Jason was not a “suit guy”. In kindness, donations can be made to Erie Shores Health Foundation or Erie Shores Hospice (Hospice Erie Shores Campus) with a special thank you to their teams from Lori and family. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visiting will be held at Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell St., Leamington (519-326-2631), on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 3-7pm. Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.reidfuneralhome.ca
