It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Jarret Marshall Desjarlais on September 26, 2022 at the age of 49 years.
Jarret was predeceased by his father Albert (Butch) Desjarlais; grandparents Joseph and Mary Desjarlais and Frank and Mathilda Geschwandtner; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jarret is survived by his mother Trudy Koller; his sisters Anita (Peter) Hopfauf, Leana (Murray) Gettle, Tamara (Ryan) Gudmundson and Courtney (Kyle) Shields; niece Carly (Mike) Sliva and nephew Chad Hopfauf (Ara Cheers) and their families; stepmother Donna Greene; stepbrothers Jeremy (Charity) Greene and Danny (Justine) Greene and their families; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jarret will also be sorely missed by his beloved cats Diamond and Sammy.
Jarret was born in New Westminster, British Columbia and lived there until he was 6 when he and his family moved to Regina, Saskatchewan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and rap music was his passion. Jarret loved animals and was often called the animal whisperer; he could tame the wildest and have them eating from the palm of his hand. Jarret lived his life the way he wanted to and would want all those left behind to do the same.
A come and go Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in Seven Oaks Hotel, 777 Albert Street, Regina, Saskatchewan.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Regina Humane Society (www.reginahumanesociety.ca).
