JARGIELLO Margaret 1930 2022

JARGIELLO, Margaret
1930 – 2022
JARGIELLO, Margaret Edith (née Cright)
With great sorrow and broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved
Mother and Mémère. In her 92nd year, surrounded by her family, she left her earthly body on February 6, 2022, at the Blanche River Health – Kirkland Lake Site.
Margaret was born in Hull, Quebec on February 15, 1930. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years John (Mike) Peter Jargiello, her parents Irene and Alfred Cright; her siblings Germaine, Edna, Mabel, Jack, Gerald, and infant baby Yvette.
Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Jim, Jerry, John (Helen), Michael; daughters: Debra (Stan) Bernardo of Sault Ste. Marie and Suzanne (Blucher) Jargiello; and grandchildren: Teena Kukkee of Thunder Bay, ON, Gasper (Kristy) Bernardo Jr. of Barrie, ON, Michael, Jeffrey (Michelle) and Maxx Cabrera of Ecuador, Sarah and Aleesha Jargiello of Barrie, ON, Amber Kalliomaki, Trista (Ty) Wiley of Hayward, WI; great-grandchildren: Emerson, Pyatt, Logan, Sophia, Grayson, Damien, Landon, Jayden, Kali, Eden, Emma, Emily, Jonathan Zane, and Sofia Teresa; her brother Clayton (Lorraine) Cright of Sault Ste. Marie, ON; her sister-in-law Faye Cright of Caledonia and brother-in-law Bob Miller of Las Vegas, NV, her adopted family Jill and Glen Gaston of Gravenhurst, ON and children Jeffrey (son Keenan) of Alberta, Gary (Shannon) Welsh of Timmins, ON; as well many nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
Margaret was happiest when surrounded by her family and her home is filled with pictures of them. Weekly calls and videos were such a treasure to her, allowing her to see everyone, near and far. She loved baking, crafts, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She knitted socks, slippers, sweaters, hats, she always had some pattern on the go. She loved playing cards and will be missed by her monthly card group (Darlene, Janet, Jeanne). She enjoyed bingo, daily crosswords, and reading on her tablet. She was a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion Branch 87.
Margaret did not like winter, and always longed for her former winter home. Before her husband’s passing in 2003, they were Snowbirds and wintered in Florida for 16 winters. They made many friends whom they kept in touch with over the years, especially her sister from another mother Ardath (Sue Moo) Orcutt.
We wish to thank her RT Jessica Thorpe, her palliative nurse Ashley Lynne, who was with us on her last day, and all of the ICU nursing staff and her family physician, Dr. McPherson.
A funeral service will be held this coming summer once the restrictions are eased and it is safe to gather to celebrate Margaret’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory can be made to VON or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of JARGIELLO Margaret 1930 2022..
