Obituary of Janice Maxine Stratton-Giles
On July 21, 2022, Janice Maxine Stratton-Giles gently passed away with her family by her side.
Left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are her spouse, Robert Caldwell; children, Matthew Giles (Sonya), Amanda Giles (Cody), Samantha LeDrew (Robert), Meagan Davis (Jared), Amy Veitch (Ben), Becky Bulmer (Brayden) and Spencer Caldwell; grandchildren, Billy, Alex, Kayson, Gabby, Adelyn, Jubilee, Noah, Theo and Amaya; brothers, Barry Stratton and Lyndon Stratton (Lori), former spouse Everett Giles and a large extended family.
Predeceased by her parents Carl & Clarice Stratton (Winsor) and granddaughter Emma Giles.
Janice will be forever remembered for her unconditional love, generosity, kindness, dedication, and strength. Her ability to see the best in others and her willingness to give of herself were her greatest contributions. She was an influencer and often considered a source of wise counsel.
Janice worked with Syncrude for 15 years in various roles and most recently as a supervisor.
Her family expresses deep appreciation for the care she received at Northern Lights Regional Health Centre and the University of Alberta Hospital.
Memorial Donations may be made in Janice’s memory to a charity of your choice.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Family Christian Centre, 160 Dickins Dr., Fort McMurray, Alberta.
