Obituary
Janet Ruth (Seeley) Fullarton of St. George, New Brunswick passed away on Thursday, June 23rd, 2022 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Her birth parents were Neil Angus Seeley and Rosie Norman and she was the foster daughter of Milton and Fay Trafton of Baillie, who were also wonderful grandparents to Dale, Kimberley and Robin.
Janet graduated from Lawrence Station Regional High School and then from Teachers College, Fredericton. She first taught in Pomeroy Ridge, a one room school, grades 1 to 7, which she dearly loved and often spoke of, and then she taught grade 5 in Milltown.
After marrying, having 3 children, the family moved to Pennfield in 1964. During the next 3 years, Janet cooked for a local store, made wedding and birthday cakes along with supply teaching in local schools.
In January 1967, she began teaching primary at Blacks Harbour Elementary, retiring in 1996. During this time, one of her greatest joys was teaching “little people” to read.
Janet was predeceased by her birth parents, her foster parents and brothers Neil, Charles and Robert and also her four-year-old sister, Barbara.
She is survived by her children; Dale Fullarton, Kimberley Justason and Robin Fullarton, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; all of whom she dearly loved along with several nieces and nephews.
As per Janet’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place.
Memorial donations towards Beaver Harbour Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated.
