Bathurst – On Sunday December 25, following a short but courageous battle with cancer, Janet Landry, wife to the late Clovis Landry, passed away peacefully at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Rita (Cormier) Scott.
Fiercely independent she remained active and busy, her children and grandchildren being her focus.
She will be deeply missed by her children: Monica Howsam of Whitby Ont., Richard Landry (Debbie) of Beresford, Diane Davidson (John) of North Tetagouche and Susan Landry-Mark (Brian) of Toronto Ont.
Grandchildren: Kyle and Cody Landry, Blake and Tonya Howsam, Christy Davidson and Aidan Mark.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother Howard Scott.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place on Thursday December 29th at 2p.m from Elhatton Funeral Chapel.
A special thank you to Extra mural, Dr. Ault and Dr. Desiree. Nurses at the palliative care unit and her sister-in-law Gladys Chamberlain for their compassionate care and kind support.
Donations can be made in her name to the palliative care unit at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
