It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Janet Kaus (née Chatelain) announce her passing on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the age of 83. Janet is reunited with her loving husband Richard Kaus (May 2022) of nearly 61 years; her parents Victor (1993) and Mary (1980) Chatelain; sister Donalda Chatelain (1937); brother Larry Chatelain (2013); mother & father-in-law Clarence (1994) and Adeline (1982) Kaus; brothers and sister-in-law Tony Coscarella (2016); John (1991) and Lena (1990) Kaus; nephew Randy Kaus (2005); and niece Leslie Nutter (2022). Janet is survived by her children Cheryl Kaus-Soulliere, Karen and Christopher Kaus; adored grandson, with whom she helped nurture & raise, Mark (Katie) Soulliere, and great-grandchildren Danielle and Griffin. Janet will be forever remembered by her loving sister Shirley Coscarella; sisters-in-law Julie Chatelain and Patricia Kaus; brother-in-law Mike (Diane) Kaus; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Janet was born in Cornwall, ON and moved with her family to Windsor when she met her lifelong and best friend of 69 years Liz Ouellette. The family would like to thank everyone at Hospice and ParaMed for taking such good care of mom. In lieu of flowers you may wish to make a donation to the Hospice of Windsor & Es County. Visitation on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. and again on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Families First, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
