Obituary of Jane Stanton
Jane Camilla Stanton passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving family – her lively sense of humour and indomitable spirit never wavering.
Loved and cherished by her partner of 17 years, Mike Mulder, her step-kids Maisie and Aidan, and siblings Terry, Margo, Cathy, and Susan, her best friend and confidante. Much loved and admired by many extended family members, co-workers and friends.
The youngest in a family of 12 children, Jane was born with strength, fearlessness and determination, coupled with a warm, embracing heart. These traits helped her and those she loved weather tough times. She was smart, witty, wise, generous and caring. She shared with Maisie and Aidan – whom she called her pride and joy – her love of words, nature, gardening, and animals, music, picnics, museums, collecting, and more.
Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at Kingston Health Sciences Centre and Lennox and Addingtton County General Hospital, and to family and friends for their care and support.
Jane donated to countless charities that helped people and animals throughout her life. To mark her birthday on January 22nd, we welcome donations to a charity of your choice in her name.
A private Service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373).
Please share your memories and condolences to the family through this memorial page.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Jane
