Obituary of Jan Dickson (Blackett)
Janet Ella Dickson passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her side on Friday, June 10, 2022, at the age of 73. Beloved wife and best friend of Tom Dickson. Dear mother of Laura Clark (Robert), Linda Trbizan (late David) and Deborah Ashton (Jonathan) and loving grandmother of Ashley (Morgan), Hayden and Jordan. Cherished sister of John Blackett (Darlene) and proud aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Cecil and Marion Blackett, her brother Gerry and granddaughter Danielle. Jan will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and many dear friends.
Jan devoted her career to being an emergency department nurse, caring and putting others first. Known for her infectious smile, love for travel and making friends where ever she went. Many thanks to Dr. Robinson and the amazing team at the Kingston Cancer Centre and Dr. Kondor, the nurses from St. Elizabeth Health Care and our special PSW for all their support during Jan’s final days.
A Celebration of Jan’s Life will be held from 2 – 6 pm., on Saturday, August 20th, 2022 at 697 3rd Concession Road, Napanee. Refreshments and food will be served. Please join us. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa, ON K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373).
