Obituary of James Peter Speal
Speal, James Peter
February 16, 1964 – June 3, 2022
With broken hearts, we share that Jim is now resting peacefully after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Jim passed at home with his family by his side. Adoring Papa to Isabella, proud father of Raquel and Darcy, and husband of 37 years, to Bonnie. Dear son of Cheryl and Peter (pre-deceased 2018), brother to Danny (Rosalie) and Shelley, uncle to Nick, Daniel and Diana. Dear brother-in-law to Bob (Marion), Marilyn (Jim), the late Doug (husband to Karie). Beloved uncle to Rhonda (Steve), Danielle (Dale), Jennifer, the late Jason, Ryan, Lindsey, Ashley and Daniel. His absence will be deeply felt by all. Jim was employed at Chrysler and in his free time, was an avid hunter and fisherman. More important than anything though was spending time with the light of his life “Bella”. From home repairs to outdoor adventures and more recently showing off their dance moves in TikTok videos – they did it all together.
Many thanks to Windsor & Es Cancer Centre and Hospice, the wonderful nurses and doctors who shared in Jim’s care and especially to Raquel, who as a nursing student was especially vigilant in providing 24/7 care to her dad in his final days. If you so desire, memorial donations to Hospice of Windsor or the Windsor & Es Cancer Centre Foundation. Cremation has taken place.
