  1. Hello,
I worked on the AGT installation crew with Jim for years and we knew when he was near. His distinctive laugh and upbeat joking was a dead giveaway. We were commuting Calgary to Medicine Hat around 1973 via Dash 8 airplane Monday morning during a wild westerly Chinook wind. As we were slide slipping along, Jim and others at the back were laughing and having a good time until we hit the air pocket. With a few hundred feet drop, all was quiet. Then there was Jim’s boisterous “Hi Jack” comment that got him some trouble with airport security. But that was typical Jim, lots of good memories. Later we went separate ways in AGT but often when we met, Jim would comment how I was still growing, “right though the hair on my head” All in good fun. It sounds like Jim lived his later years the same way. Good for Jim. We are sure that many will miss him.

  2. Our deepest sympathy to the Guss family. We knew Jim from Bonavista Downs at community dances and of course the Expos ball team. One gathering at our house Jim tried to dive into our pool, collapsed the side instant flood in the back yard! great memories of Jim. Jan, Heather, John and Christa Rasmussen
