Peacefully, at his home in Straffordville, surrounded by the love of his family, James William Tupper passed away at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Irene (Safranka) Tupper for 65 wonderful years. Proud and loving father of Julie and her husband Pat VanDenNest of Eden, Karen and her husband Bob Kaufman of Tillsonburg and Jamie and his wife Sheila (Smith) Tupper of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandfather of Josh and Amanda VanDenNest of Delhi, Corey and Jenna VanDenNest of Springfield, Justin and Breanna Kaufman of Dorchester, Candice Kaufman and Stephen MargerinDuMetz of Revelstoke, B.C., Travis Kaufman and Amanda Martin of Glen Myer and Tasha Tupper and Rob Umbach of Sparta. Dear great-grandfather of Bradyn, Zachery, Lucas, Cohen, Hadley, Olivia, Natalie, Nathan and Ezra. Family and friends will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm. All guests are required to register for visitation at www.ostrandersfuneralhome.com or by calling the Funeral Home. Masks are mandatory and social distancing will be required. Please do not attend if you have been ill or are under isolation. The Funeral Service for James will be private but will be livestreamed via link on the funeral home website starting Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 3:00 pm. Interment will take place at Dobbie Cemetery.
