James W Jim Nevers 1932 2022

Jim Nevers of Lakeville NB, passed away peacefully at the age
of 89 in The Moncton Hospital, Sunday, January 16, 2022, with his
daughter Arlene at his side.
Born in Lower Jemseg NB, he was the son of the late Paul B.
and Ella E. (Wiggins) Nevers. He attended St. James Anglican
Church, Lower Jemseg, NB.
Jim, at the age of 14, left home with his brother Fred on a
Harley Davidson motorcycle. His adventure began at NBTEL,
where he worked for a number of years while establishing and operating
Nevers Trailer Sales. As a sideline to the trailer sales,
Jim could usually be found in the community installing utility poles
or selling firewood. He was a devoted and hard
worker. He also bought, rented, and sold several properties
and vehicles in Moncton and Rexton.
Jim’s presence was felt in and around the Greater Moncton
area. He was known for his selflessness, compassion, and
storytelling. He would help anyone in need. No
wonder he was recognized wherever he went. He was a friend
to all.
Jim’s last days were spent sitting in his wheelchair at home
looking out the front window admiring the community in which he
lived.
“As long as a person is remembered, they’re not really
gone. Their memories become a part of us”.
Jim’s adventures were filled with many stories and multiple
memories. Everyone that knew him would remember his famous
lines ”That’s good enough ” And, the other one, ”Do you want to
go for a drive?” It may have been a little errand or to
drop off a pole however you might be gone all day because normally you
would get stuck in the mud.
He will be sadly missed by his two daughters: Arlene
and Dorene Nevers and two sons: Robert “Bob” and
Leigh Nevers; grandchildren, Robert, Carla, Eddie, Tammy,
Christina, Justin, Shanae, Rachel, and Paul. Jim had a lot of nieces
and nephews from Ontario that thought the world of him. They
made special trips to come and visit. Everyone appreciated his humor
and laughter.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife
H. Betty (Hannah) Nevers in 1998, a sister Patricia and two brothers
Fred and Carl.
With covid restrictions lifted, the family will
be receiving relatives and friends for a meet and greet, Saturday,
June 18, 2022 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Tuttle Brothers Riverview
Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview,
NB.
Interment will be in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery,
