It is with broken hearts that the family of the late James Vincent Cheeseman of Marystown announces his passing. James passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Monday, August 1st, 2022, at the age of 81.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Mercedes of 57 years; son Rodney (Carolyn) of Ontario; granddaughter, Katelyn of Ontario; sisters, Monie Dicks of Marystown, Kathleen Murphy of Marystown, Lillian Cheeseman of AB, Alice Brown of Marystown, Theresa Leonard of AB, and Ursula Pittman (Eugene) of NS; brothers, Bernard Cheeseman (Donelle) of ON and George Cheeseman (Vera) of NB; sisters-in-law, Margarite Power (Walter) of Marystown, Lenora Moulton of Marystown, Bernadette Dicks of Placentia, and Linda Fitzpatrick of Marystown; brothers-in-law, Philip Fitzpatrick (Marion) of Marystown, Wallie Fitzpatrick of Marystown and Peter Murphy of Little Bay; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
James was predeceased by son, Trevor; parents, Bernard & Mary Cheeseman; sisters, Madonna Cheeseman and Sara Ellen Murphy; brothers-in-law, Paddy Murphy, Pad Brown, Pat Fitzpatrick, Bill Dicks and Gary Moulton and sisters-in-law, Mary Hickey and Joan Rowlands.
The Cheeseman Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Marystown on
Wednesday, August 3 from:
2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Thursday, August 4 from:
10:00am to 12 noon
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery – Marystown.
In-lieu of flowers, in James’ memory donations may be made to donations to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation.
