FRASER, James Ronald “Jimmie” -age 79 of Elmsdale, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Braden and Edith (MacKenzie) Fraser.
Jimmie enjoyed his daily trip to Tim Hortons with the crew to get his cup of tea. He was never without a smile, was a true gentlemen and was known for being a kind person. Jimmie loved his horse races and his buddies at the track. He worked for several years at Municipal Spraying and Contracting, Bedford, from there he moved on to work at Commercial Highway Services, Elmsdale, and finally finishing his working career at the Shaw Group, Elmsdale. Jimmie will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sisters, Shirley Isnor and Betty McFarland; brother, Loran (Marla); sister-in-law, Erma Fraser; brother-in-law, Clark Isenor; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Jimmie was predeceased by his siblings, Eileen, Norma, Kaye, Beverly, Everett and Clifford.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Elmsdale.
A visitation will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm in Ettinger Funeral Home, 860 Highway 2, Elmsdale. A graveside service will be held at 10am, Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Sand Hill Cemetery, Upper Nine Mile River.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Jimmie at Colchester East Hants Health Centre.
