im was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 27, 1928 to Dorothy and Edgar Handford; the third child of eight siblings. He lived his entire life on the farm but spent many winters in the bush camps and oil rigs; but always returning to the farm.
In the 60’s he and his brother Tom (Carol) started and ran a successful beef operation, retiring in 1996 to St. Brieux Lake with his sister Dorothy.
