Obituary
Lamb, James Owen
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news of Jim’s passing on May 23rd. Although not yet ready to leave life behind, cancer had other plans. Jim spent his final day surrounded by his devoted wife of 54 years, Mary, as well as his two children, whom he affectionately referred to as Joed and Shanny. “Papa” will be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren, Hunter and Sierra Lamb, Kaylie, Jesse and Jordie Newell. Still managing his business to the very end, Jim cared for his customers and his employees like they were his family. His generosity was as grand as his heart was big. He will be remembered by his many friends, relatives, and colleagues as “one of the best.” Jim will be missed forevermore by all those who knew him, and especially by his beloved dog, Jax.
Visitation will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION, WATERDOWN BRANCH #551, 79 Hamilton St. N., Waterdown on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow.
We’d like to express our sincere appreciation to the many doctors and nurses who provided expert care, helping us to all enjoy more time with Dad than we’d expected. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Adoptions of Flamborough, a charity that Jim wholeheartedly supported.
