It is with great sadness that the family of Jimmy (Jim-Bob) announces his passing on Thursday, August 18, 2022. He was born in Grimsby on March 23, 1953. He will be missed dearly by his children Melissa (Cody), James (Jana), Brett (Yukiko), Daniel (Andrea) and Becca (Zachary) and their mother Debbie. Loved son of Anna Long Schroder (Ray) and the late James (1986) and brother of (late) Brian (Gloria), Sheila, Neil (Terry), Gary (Mary Jane), Fred, Pat and Annette (Don). Papa to Madison, Ayden, Kenadie, Colton, Wyatt, Fiona, Teela, Eloise, Oliver, Archimedes, Tecumseh and Leo. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and his best buddies Jim and Dave. Jim was a long term employee of Stelco Hilton Works. He had a love of hockey from an early age, his skill and devotion to the sport continued his entire life. Jimmy would always be there for anyone who needed a helping hand, he had a heart of gold and empathy for anyone and anything that was in need of help. He will be fondly remembered for his love of birds, the outdoors, entertaining and the Montreal Canadians. Go Habs Go! Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will take place at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Friday, August 26, 2022, from 5 – 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Urban Wildlife Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.
