Jim passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday, September 12th, 2022 after a short, but incredibly courageous battle with cancer. He was 70 years of age.
Jim is survived by his sons Philip and Derek (Lindsay) and his brothers Jack (Gail), Garry and Donnie (Mary Ann). Jim is the second eldest son of the late Charles (Shirley) and Elsie Rosien of Eganville. He will be deeply missed by all his family and dear friends, including his nieces and nephews Jeffrey Rosien, Krista (Rob) St Louis, Steven (Chantal) Rosien, Allison (Allen) Ford.
Born on August 17, 1952 in Pembroke, Jim grew up in Eganville and worked on the family farm with his brothers which was located on Hwy 41. He attended Waterloo University and became a Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering). Jim had a long and industrious career that took him all over Canada, into the USA and overseas completing many heavy civil construction projects. He retired in March 2022.
Family and friends will be received at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough on Friday September 30, 2022 from 7-9 pm & Saturday October 1, 2022 from 10-11 am. Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 11 am. Respecting Jim’s wishes, a cremation has taken place.
His family extends heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Toronto General Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
