MANN, James ‘Jim’ – Passed away peacefully on Thursday December 29, 2022 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 17 years to Alice (Dupuch), and cherished father of Sheila (Bob) Purvis, and Bruce (Karen) Mann. Loving grandfather of Katie Mann and Jessica Mann. Mr. Mann is survived by his brother Bob (Lola) Mann and sister-in-law Pat (the late Jerry) Rol as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Alex Mann, parents Louis and Dorothy Mann, siblings Shirley (Dalton) Walkom, Josephine (Bill) Gibson, Lois (Bill) Detenbeck and Teddy Mann. Mr. Mann worked at the Ford Glass plant for 26 years where he was known affectionately as ‘Rocky’ until his retirement. He enjoyed his retirement years traveling with Alice, woodworking, gardening and playing cards. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Tuesday, January 10, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A service in Celebration of Mr. Mann’s life will take place at the funeral home at 11:00 am. In memory of Mr. Mann memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, and would be appreciated.
