Obituary
James Arthur Joseph Bernard passed away unexpectedly Tuesday June 7th 2022. Jim was only 58 years old. Jimmy was proudly born to Ralph and Theresa Bernard, May 18th 1964.
After attending Chippewa High School, he began working at his father’s automotive garage where he learned the value of a hard day’s work and everything that goes along with that.
Jim met and soon married Cathy. They then decided to make a family. Sasha Lola Kirkland (Mark) and Carl Ralph Bernard.
Although he fought with his own personal demons, he always strived to help anyone, no matter their situation. Jimmy had an extremely huge heart which at times was taken advantage of but even during those times, he would somehow excuse their actions. Making others lives a little better was very important to him.
James enjoyed puttering around his shed and yard, helping others fix their cars and bikes as well as getting excited when he found treasures with his metal detector.
Jim’s parents loved him unconditionally. His only sibling, little sister, Vicky Reed (Frank) always picked him back up when he stumbled. Although he never had the chance to meet his grandson Maks Kirkland, the handsome young man was never far from his mind. He was Uncle Jim to Randy Reed (Diana) and Laurie Reed (Randy Bedard). Children gave James the upmost joy. Great nieces and nephew, Aria and Damien Bedard, Jillian, Hailey and Chloe Reed held special places in his big heart.
