James Jim Alan Sallenbach 1946 –

James (Jim) Alan Sallenbach
James (Jim) Alan Sallenbach of Vavenby BC lost his battle with cancer and passed peacefully Sunday, March 13th at the Kamloops hospice. Born in 1946 in Kelowna BC, he grew up surrounded by his sisters and parents in Winfield until he met his loving wife Rita in Kelowna at a bowling league. They were married in Idaho and moved to Vavenby to start their family in 1967. Jim worked hard as a logger in Vavenby until he retired at the age of 55. He and Rita spent many years golfing, visiting, playing pinochle and 25 years of trips to Arizona. Jim loved to stay busy and devoted time to his garden and wood working.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rita of 55 years, sons; James (Connie) and Darren (Janet), grandchildren; Niall, Jordan (Parker), Baylee and Travis (Tatianna), sisters; Joanne, Sharyn (John), Sheila (Jim), sister-in-law Linda (Bill) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by father Jake, mother Marion, brother-in-law Ed, mother-in-law Mary, and father-in-law Jim.
There will be a celebration of life at the Winfield Memorial Hall Monday, March 21st at 12:00.
